When I was in high school I remember having a monochrome phase while learning my style. I wore a thrifted DKNY skirt that I found and was actually too small. This was the beginning of my journey realizing as a bigger girl, you just had to make it work. Boy oh boy, did I love that red plaid skirt, I found a red turtleneck, red tights and black shoes. I remember this outfit from the age of 13 because it was the first time I was inspired by the models in seventeen magazine. Of course I had a subscription and collection of fashion mags at this age. People didn’t get my outfit tho, but I still wore it with pride. I think having DKNY as a poor girl from SE meant the world to me at that time. I would go on to keep trying to squeeze until I could no more. I think about that skirt often as I do most of my favorite pieces I no longer have.
Long gone are the days of me squeezing into small clothes, especially with my catheter I look for comfort and style. I stumbled on this two piece set and loved the blue florals, so I purchased. For one it seems comfortable and it has drawstring pants which I find to be a bit causal and leaning on the loungewear side, but I believe the crepe fabric will give it room to be dressed up with different shade of blue or white accessories, or maybe even something that’s fun and clashes with the blue floral print.
I found a bunch of other blue accessories that I was feeling. It’s not meant to be worn together. What can I say? I’m in a blue mood for sure for the upcoming spring. Are you feeling the Crepe Set? The Accessories? Talk to me? What other spring trends would you like to see?
