Last week I had a great lunch at Pasara Thai. I looked across the street at a line wrapped around the corner! I wonders what in the world are they selling over there! Trust me anytime something new pops up in DC, people go for the sheer pleasure of saying “oh I’ve been there”. Understandable, I’ve never been one to ever wait in line for anything ever! The exception will be the Versace for H&M Line that I learned about on Mel’s Blog One Day in April . So excited, I will be in a line like shown below!
Anyway I said…”well Michelle, make a mental note and come back!”
And I did, but of course I had too look it up first. I didn’t find much. So I took to my twitter.
My conversation with melody Via Twitter……(or what I remember)
Me: Has anybody been to Shack Shack yet? Is it good?
Mel- Are you kidding it’s great! Get the Double and Cheese Fries!
Me: Okay I’m on my way there!
Whats a burger place without remote tickets? It wasn’t the crowded for this, but whatever.
They had everything you can imagine for a classic burger shop except BACON! No Chili for the Cheese Fries! I was super excited to have a milkshake though!
We settled on two singles with everything (lettuce tomato and onion)
Cheese Fries and Chocolate and Strawberries Milkshakes.
My mother was impatiently waiting for her food! Apparently she was in deep thought about getting on order of Cheese Fries…
I give Shake Shack a 4 out %. I really love bacon on my burgers and Chili with my Fries! They had neither! You have to make sure you asked for your burger well done! I like mine medium so I got that without them even asking! The burgers are so yummy though! The fries are amazing, and the Milkshakes, well I haven’t had one in awhile but this was so good and creamy!

I have a ton of Living Social Deals from when I dated my Ex. We made a deal that we would try a new place on the weekends, so i stocked up on all of these deals. Well we broke up Oct of last year and well I forgot all about them except the one to Red Velvet Cupcakery…that I’m obsessed with. I got a reminder to use this and went on Monday. I looked at the Menu and nothing caught my eye…but I said I would go because I wouldn’t waste the money.
I took Kem, who you saw in the Trend Show Pictures. She was open and eying the Wild Mushroom and Lobster Risotto. We had a blast, and our waiter was so sweet. So if you go ask for Jeff! He was the best!

The Lighting near the window was great! So of course I took pictures.
This is me sipping on the best Riesling ever. Can’t remember the name of it.
Spinach Salad…you can’t see the Warm Goat Cheese Crumbles hiding in there! So yummy. It came with a Bread Box, but we ordered the Toasted Bread, which you can see to the right. It was so yummy. I would recommend skipping out on the free bread and ordering the toast.
The Risotto! It was yummy, wish it was hotter it came to us warm. It was still great though.
This inspires me to try and make this at home.
Outtakes with Jeff. He did the best Impressions.
I feel like we stayed for at least 2 hours, talking, playing around with Jeff.
I forgot to take a picture of the Tiramisu.
He also threw in some Cream Puffs for us, which were amazing!
I would totally suggest this place if you want to go out on a date, hang with girlfriends, or maybe a special occasion.
