2012 wasn’t so bad for me. I noticed that a lot of people on FB and Twitter ranted about how crappy 2012 was. When I look back I think I couldn’t agree. While my year had it’s ups and downs I’m still very grateful for my year. i had more fun than sorrows. I know that change starts with you and when you don’t like the way something is going you must change it on your own instead thinking your luck will change because it’s a new year. So many people brag about how we shouldn’t wait until the New year…well I say this, it’s tradition, and I can’t live my life nit picking at everything and wondering why, why, why. Who cares. It’s Jan and some people feel like they need a fresh start then so be it.

Egg White Omelette / Key Lime Cupcakes

Um, can we take a moment and talk about how delicious these Key Lime Cupcakes are? I mean seriously if you love Lime Flavored anything make these!

I traveled less than expected! I went to Miami for my birthday even though it rained the for the first time! But I did get to meet on of my favorite twitter friends, blogger and fellow Trini Beauty Ria Michelle. She runs Filthy Magic Boutique do go check her out.

Look at those leggy’s!

Clearly you can see that I drank my way up and down the beaches of Miami, my best friend made sure the rain didn’t stop us from having fun and thank goodness for Ria for showing us a good time!I had such a good time there, and I hope i can go back soon!

My Foster Sister graduated from high school and went to Prom. She’s also going to be featured on PBS sometime in 2013, on a documentary about her being  part of the first class to graduated from her school. If you know me on twitter you hear me ragging on this little chick all the time, she is so ratchet at times ahaha.

I just realized how much I look like my mom.

I also cried over shoes this year. Later on i found out I probably could have stretched them instead. Biggest purchase regret ever…I still think about them (stares off into space)

But got to wear these.

and these….

Then I met Dani Stahl, Brad Goreski, Emily Schuman, and Hal Rubenstein.

I met some amazing people in the fashion and Blogging word. Spicy Candy styled a lookbook and Dani Stahl hosted their event, she was so fun and laid back. I also met Brad Goreski, he is such a doll in person. I found out at the last min hence my crazy attire. He signed my books, and complimented my earrings and joked with me for a bit. Emily Schuman hosted a book signing and South Moon Unders reopening. She was super nice in person as well. I had a lot of memories with Hal Rubenstien. Out of all of these people I was only aware enough to give Dani my card. Lets hope i am a little better at networking in 2013.

I took an unhealthy amount of cat pictures. He’s getting old what can I say! And he’s just so cute, so why not?

One of the best Girls Nights With some Bloggers Chica’s. One night, magic mike, and wine. I had so much fun with these girls, and I’m so going to miss Katherine (Bottom Left) as she ventures out to NY. So jealous but motivated to maybe look into moving out of DC.

I ate a lot of sinful foods, including Rum Laced Ice Cream, lots of Pho, and Eggs Benny of every kind. This year I hope I can make better choices haha, but I know I’ll be cooking a bit healthier on the blog so get ready!

Some of the places  here are

Cava Mezze|Ping Pong|Sinplicity|Circa|El Centro

Lots of memories with the people I ate out with

I attended my first drag show in support of my friend to the right! He came in 3rd and I still saw that show was rigged!!

Can’t forget about meeting some sweet as pie Bloggers Like Me (BLMGirls)

My aforementioned Brother got Married!

Icing on the cake! I got what I really wanted for Christmas.

I can’t forget finishing my 12 week business course i’m one step closer to opening my business in 2013.

Last but not least!  I was on TV this year too. It’s funny I was on twitter and a news caster sent a tweet out about Verizon patenting a cable box that would watch you in order to give you a better advertising service. It sounds creepy right? Well they asked me to comment on it.  I didn’t expect that I would be on tv that night.

As i struggle to NOT post everything from this year, this post or at least putting together just reminded me of how great this year has been. Life isn’t perfect, and I’m in control of what I do. I’ve met some great friends like Jenn, in the past few months we have been practically best friends. Vivy, she makes me laugh all day on twitter. Kate, my crazy foodie partner in crime. Waverly, Katherine, Morgan! I love you all!

PS. Apparently I have a white doppelganger. I found this picture on Mele’s Blogger a cute Australian Fashionista! I love her style but I got a crazy laugh out of this when vivi sent it to me and said, omg y’all look just a like! What do you think?

Lot’s of Love to all of you as you celebrate NYE! I have some goals that i’ve spaced out among the year, I’m excited for this next chapter in life and here on my blog.

Cheers!
