Monthly Archives: February 2011
My weekend never really starts until Saturday Night. Since I work full time, and I have four classes Friday and Saturdays. I got to enjoy the afternoon by shopping. I started off by picking up my tickets at Nordstroms for the Cosmetic Trend Show. I love attending this show. It’s March 12th at 8:00. Stop pass the Nordstroms at Pentagon City to get your tickets. I went to get my nails done, and tried a new essie color called Nice is Nice. It’s a Pretty creamy lilac color. I’m so ready for the Spring to arrive.
On my shopping trip I stopped off in Sephora.
I’m loving this new Mascara. I think this is my new favorite.
Finally Got my Black Pearl, Bloomingdales Online has this. I may do this as a Giveaway since I have two of them. What do you think?
This Michael Kors Cuff was on sale. It reminded me of Hermes, the red, the gold pyramids.
I can’t wait to pair this with something.
Keeping up with my Baking, and love of all this Chocolate I made Peanut Butter Squares. I adapted this from Nigella Lawson’s Cookbook “How to be a domestic Goddess“. Thanks to someone leaving a comment and reminding me. I tried this super easy recipe.
Well mine didn’t come out as smooth at the top. I will try these again though. I would sugguest using Parchment paper at the bottom for easy removal of the squares.
I also made a One pot Black Bean Soup recipe during the week. It came out great, but I didn’t blend it like the recipe called for. It came out great, and it very healthy. Once I get the okay. I’ll link the recipe. Or you can google “the gracious pantry” and find it there as well.
This recipe is courtesy of TheGraciousPantry.com
If you don’t know by now I love cooking. I really look up to Giada De Laurentiis. I love her food. I love club sandwiches, but never attempted to make them on my own. This time I was walking around the store and saw the bread. So I had to remember the things in order to make this. I guess I did pretty decent, and my family liked it. I didn’t make it into mini’s. I used this recipe found (( here )) I made some changes and worked with what I had.
I’m currently still unpacking after my move back home. I have all this crap in such a tiny little space. I’m currently working on installing an IKEA Closet contraption. It takes a ton of time because I have no idea what I’m doing.
So this weekend I wasn’t feeling so hot, but I managed to make it out to my friends birthday dinner, and afterparty.
We were supposed to go to have sushi, but ended up at PF Changs.
The Birthday Girl loved her Crumbs Cupcakes
The Birthday Girl Blogger FrankyJ looking Super Cute!
The Cupcakes were a hit!
I got home late, and finally crashed. I wish I had taken a picture of my outfit which was really cute. I will probably wear it again though next time I go out.
I found out about a restaurant called Local Sixteen from another blog called Bitches Who Brunch. They blog about Brunch spots all around the City of D.C. they gave them a Solid A as a rating, but I would give them a B only because there was a bus boy that kept reaching over our food to collect dishes. His shirt basically brushed up against our food, and drinks…it was very distracting. Our waitress was wonderful though.
Eggs Benedict I’m so used to it being served on an English Muffin…
A Lox Scramble Pizza
Pepperoni Sunny Side Up Pizza
Looks Wierd…I didn’t eat the egg part…my eggs cravings were bigger then my stomach. I still ate half this pizza though.
Hopefully I can get out tomorrow and take some new pictures of the city.
I made a simple low sodium Veggie Soup today. It was very simple. 2 Cartons of Low Sodium Veggie Broth. Use whatever Veggies you love.
These are the veggies I used.
1 Chopped Onion
2 Bags of Pre-Cut Carrots, Brocolli, and Califlower.
Kale Greens
Minced Garlic
Handful of Chopped Cilantro
Mini Corn Cobs (I found in the Asian Food Section)
I’ll be honest…I had to add some more salt, but the good thing about it is I was able to control the salt. I also used other seasoning to make this tasty.
I basically put everything in the pot and brought to a simmer boil.
The site relaunch is working out. Chellbellz will have a new name. Madame Petillant [pay tee ya(n)] will relaunch sometime around next month. I hope that everyone who stops by will follow me to my website home. I will post about my lifestyle, which includes styling, cooking, health and wellness, and DIY. I will also post about things in DC such as new openings, restaurants, and everything else.
I brought a new camera as well and I wait to start snapping pictures. Here are a few that I took while testing it out. It’s a Canon EOS Rebel T1i. I only have one lens so far, but I’m taking it out to dinner with me for my friends birthday.
It’s so clear…I can’t wait to take more tonight.

Today was an eventful day…I slept in late with vittles (my very feisty and old cat)….he loves his naps. I met up with friends and we all brought a dish and had Sunday dinner. It was our last sinful meal before our biggest loser challenge at work.
I made the most delicious bread pudding for the first time. I also made white cheddar MAC and cheese. I had it (bread pudding) for the first time about two weeks ago…and I fell in love. This recipe called for chocolate though. I also made a rum caramel And rum sauce that I need to tweek….the dinner was delicious, and we watched social network, and “you again”…which were two good movies.
I also came up with a great blog name…now I just need a web designer. I finally got to save enough coins to buy a fancy camera for the site as well. So I’m excited everything is moving along well.
Have a great week,
Xoxo

I love blogging, but I realized I don’t have as much time as I would like with work, and school. I run two blogs, this one, and a weight loss blog. But I decided to merge the two. Then I thought how silly would it be to have a clean eating blog, plus a baking blog.
I have to admit I love baking even if i’m using things that aren’t “clean” but I love to bake regardless. So what am I to do? Well I still want to merge both, but still let them both be seperate. I want to focus on my lifestyle, and baking in hope of starting some sort of catering business while in college. I also want to focus on DIY projects around the house, and with my closet (clothing). I also would like to focus on fashionable individuals around the DC area. I want the world to see that DC is fashionable.
With that being said, ChellBellz is getting a total makeover. I’m going to meet up with someone for a Logo, and possibly a name change. I’m going to invest in a totally rad camera, and get to work. So bare with me if the post are few and frequent until I get everything together.
XOXO

My favorite thing at the moment…
All saints boots. I decided to do a brown boot. I prefer color instead if black. Everybody is asking me about them…but I think they’ve been out for some time. These are my investment boots…code for I had to save up for them…$$$
